Before I moved to California, I lived in the small town of West Dundee Illinois. Now this wouldn’t be considered a farm town by any means, but you did see your share of corn fields once in a while. I lived in that general area from the time I was born, till when I was about twelve. That’s when this whole California adventure began.
Though there was nothing wrong with little ol’ West Dundee, I never felt like I fit in. Like a lot of artists/musicians/whatever you want to call them, I never felt like I really had a group in school. Don’t get me wrong, I had some amazing friends. I had about 3 to four friends that I saw every once in a while that were truly amazing, but that’s where the good times ended. The actual work wasn’t hard for me, but making lasting friendships and fitting in was. Little things happened in the halls of my school that made me question my sanity. I wondered what was wrong with me, why couldn’t I fit in like all the other girls. These experiences are what drove me to music….
